HBA Library Hampshire Beekeeping Association Library – The Sustainability Centre, Droxford Road. GU32 1HR Whether completely new to beekeeping; embarking upon a beekeeping course; pondering the successes or disappointments of last season, or simply wanting to sit out the winter season with a good book, whatever your needs are, Hampshire Beekeeping Association’s Library will have something that will interest you! The majority of books and periodicals are available for loan to HBA members but some rare or fragile volumes may only be viewed in the Library. It is not just technical books on offer but a bee themed world of information, enjoyment and entertainment in the form of biography, autobiography, photography, geography, chemistry, physics, art, folklore, medicine, history, archaeology, picture books, children’s books, fiction and much more! The library room is available for private study but space is limited so large numbers of visitors may need to ‘take turns’ in which case there is the added bonus of enjoying a walk around the site and visiting the Beech Cafe. Appointments to visit must be made by contacting the librarian, Avril Tillman, tel. 01329 286839 or email djtillman3@outlook.com The staff at the Centre cannot be responsible for receiving returned books or for arranging visits to the library room. If visiting the library is difficult, arrangements can usually be made with the Librarian to collect or deliver library property. Library property may not be passed to, or shared with, any other party unless permission has been granted by the Librarian. The borrower is responsible for the safe keeping and return of any item loaned to them. Without you, the Members, using the library, as a tool to learn from the Past and the Present, to expand your beekeeping knowledge, to develop your beekeeping skills, and to enjoy your beekeeping experience, it is of little use. So… Get in touch, come and see what is on offer to YOU!
