SWHBK exists to offer local beekeepers a friendly environment where they can meet, learn, and socialise with fellow beekeepers.

We provide training for newcomers, so they can become confident beekeepers with the support and guidance from more experienced members, and encourage further learning and ongoing training within the BBKA framework.

We also have an apiary where we can all practice the skills we need to manage our own bees and enjoy our hobby.

Being part of the local community, we welcome the opportunity to attend fetes and open days as well as giving talks and presentations about honey bees and beekeeping to, and for, local interest groups.
